A Brooklyn College adjunct professor, fired last week after being accused of supporting Palestinian suicide bombers, was rehired yesterday.
The stunning reversal came after the Political Science Department's appointment committee unanimously voted to recommend the selection of Kristofer Petersen-Overton, 26, to teach a graduate seminar on Middle Eastern politics, college President Karen Gould said.
Petersen-Overton, who has denied supporting terrorism, pronounced himself "very happy" with the decision.
But Assemblyman Dov Hikind (D-Brooklyn), whose accusation had led to the dismissal, blasted the school's 180-degree rethink as "cowardice at its very worst."
