The University of Colorado has canceled its study abroad program at the American University of Cairo due to safety concerns in light of the Egypt's recent protests, Provost Russell Moore announced today.
The Office of International Education is working with the university in Cairo to move the four CU students to a safe location in Europe.
The CU students were registered for the program but had not yet started classes. The students were notified Monday evening of the program's suspension.
Protests against the country's government began early last week, after Tunisia's recent success during a similar revolution.
