A blonde hair blue eyed student at the University of the Pacific spent days in the middle of a revolution as the people of Egypt successfully ousted President Hosni Mubarak.
Jordan Schreiber started her study abroad in January. About a week later, small protests turned into a major movement.
"It was mind blowing to see it escalate," she said Saturday on the campus of UOP.
Schreiber says she didn't join the revolution, but she felt compelled to witness it. Despite warning, she went into the streets with first aid kits to help protesters who had clashed with Egyptian police officers.
She did not want to leave but had to, just days before Mubarak announced he was stepping down.
"I'll never be able to experience anything like that again. I was in the middle of the start of a revolution and it was so inspirational and so amazing," Schreiber said.
She has been back in the US for only a week, and she's already planning another visit to Egypt in May.
