Middle East studies in the NewsAcademic Terror Apologists -- the Dynamic Op-Ed Duo [on Boston U's Augustus Richard Norton and Harvard's Sara Roy]
by Martin "Sol" Soloman http://www.solomonia.com/blog/archive/2007/08/academic-terror-apologists-the/ http://www.campus-watch.org/article/id/3792 Hizballah's academic advocate, Augustus Richard Norton, and his Hamas counterpart, Sara Roy, had to collaborate in order to distill their brilliance down to an op-ed size recommendation: Yes, you can work with Hamas. Well we could, but we'd have to overlook their inconvenient genocidal tendencies and all that. (Piece appears, big surprise, in the Christian Science Monitor.) ...A smarter policy would work toward broadening the scope of Palestinian politics – not blessing a Fatah administration that is rapidly becoming a useful instrument of American and Israeli interests. Horror! Note: Articles listed under "Middle East studies in the News" provide information on current developments concerning Middle East studies on North American campuses.
