YCISS withdraws co-sponsorship of Daniel Pipes lecture

The York Centre for International and Security Studies has withdrawn its co-sponsorship of the upcoming lecture by Daniel Pipes. At the time the decision to co-sponsor the event was made, the Centre was unaware of Mr. Pipes' links to Campus Watch.

The Centre will continue to sponsor presentations by academics, experts, and policy-makers in all fields relevant to the Centre's mandate who are willing to support and engage in scholarly openness and debate.

For those interested in the range and intensity of the extensive internal debate at YCISS on this issue, material will be available on the Centre's website as of this Monday, January 27^th.
