Pro-Hamas and -Hezbollah Juan Cole compares the vice-presidential candidate to Muslim fundamentalists, on grounds that "A theocrat is a theocrat, whether Muslim or Christian."

True, Muslim fundamentalists do not believe in the separation of church and state. But there is no evidence whatsoever that Sarah Palin shares their view and would favor the establishment of a national religion.
