BHO's Dam Has Many Holes, but More Helping Fingers to Plug Them [incl. Rashid Khalidi]
by Gabriel Garnica
We have all heard of the Dutch kid plugging the hole in the dam with his finger. Well, never in the history of American presidential politics has a candidate leading in most polls had so many holes in his dam as Barack Hussein Obama, or BHO for short, as in short on qualifications and long on excuses and help from his friends.
They say you can tell a lot about a person by the company he or she keeps. In the case of BHO, we have a slew of people you would not want to invite to a Fourth of July picnic unless you wanted real fireworks in the backyard.
Between the ever-popular Rev. Jeremiah Wright frothing at the mouth and cursing America; unconvicted and unrepentant domestic terrorist William Ayers looking in an old photo like a cross between Lee Harvey Oswald and Timothy McVeigh; Stalinist Communist Frank Marshall Davis spewing hatred for America with young BHO at his feet; association with ACORN intimidation operative Madeline Talbott; ties to racist Black Nationalist Dan Warden (now Khalid al-Mansour); and association with pro-Palestinian and Israel-hating Rashid Khalidi, BHO has a veritable anti-America all-star team. This is not counting numerous other questionable ties to such angels as convicted political fundraiser Tony Rezko, since listing them all would make War and Peace look like a pamphlet. I do not know about you, but I think Barack can be the cleanup hitter on this lineup, since his best skill seems to be "cleaning up" all those nasty associations with shady characters in his past.
If BHO's associations above do not point to a highly questionable judgment regarding the interests and safety of our nation, then his choices of members to his "Senior Working Group on National Security" may well remove whatever shreds of integrity and common sense might have been left in BHO's so-called "judgment."
Calling Madeleine Albright, Warren Christopher, David Boren, Greg Craig, Anthony Lake, William Perry, Richard Danzig, James Steinberg and Eric Holder advancers of "a more pragmatic tradition of American foreign policy" as BHO did is like declaring that the 1962 Mets advanced a more practical tradition of American baseball. My apologies to the ‘62 Mets, whose incompetence was confined to the ball field, while the proven and devastating incompetence of the group above has cost American lives and endangered American security.
Again, we could go on forever listing examples of BHO's questionable judgment on many topics and in many areas of national security and domestic interest concern. Suffice it to say that there is much to be desired in BHO's judgment resume.
Questionable Integrity and Honesty
BHO's basic failure to respect honesty and integrity completes his questionability trio. Such a fault goes hand in hand with the above fiascos, since anyone ever dreaming of becoming POTUS could never admit to the slew of absurd associations, outrageous decisions and corrupt intentions found in BHO's real resume, which is the one we may never fully see, thanks to his army of friends always ready to plug the sea of holes in his dam.
For anyone to believe for one second that BHO could have been as close to Jeremiah Wright as he has been without witnessing and at least tacitly accepting his anti-America diatribes requires surgical removal of at least half the brain. For anyone to believe for one moment that the army of questionable associates is all merely innocent, circumstantial and very superficial connections require removal of the other half.
The two most honest statements to come out of the Obama campaign in the past months were BHO's snobby and condescending remarks about gun owners and religious people and his wife's declaration of finally being proud of America. Both vividly and perfectly demonstrated the kind of elitist and arrogant attitudes which Obama manages to hide under his polished looks and bright smile.
Let's not end this discussion of BHO, however, without giving him his props. It's difficult to believe that someone with his background could get anywhere near the White House without a supreme talent for lying, spinning, rationalizing and evading truth.
Helpful Hands and Fingers
While it is a fact that BHO's dam looks more like Swiss cheese than a fortress against attack, it is likewise a fact that BHO has enough friends in the media, Hollywood and the Left to plug every one of those holes lest the purifying springs of truth should rush through.
From his simple mistake in calling the Penn State mascot the "nitally lion" to numerous errors and weak arguments made during the campaign, BHO has been the fortunate recipient of more media assists than Michael Jordan ever received in his entire career. While Hillary Clinton certainly had no right to complain about media favoritism given the Clintons' past media assists, she was right regarding the simple fact that this media has been ready, willing and able to protect their candidate from any semblance of negativity from day one. Any possible trouble has been ignored, covered under an accusation of being a lie or smoked beneath a response trying to push attention elsewhere.
At this point, it almost seems as if BHO would be carried to the Oval Office by the media and Hollywood in a parade if necessary. These infotainment elites have chosen their president, and the rest of the country can go you-know-where.
The man with the Swiss cheese resume draws closer and closer to his date with destiny while his adoring fans and groupies in the media, Hollywood and the Left offer their fingers to help him plug the holes. If Bush 41 had his "thousand points of light" then BHO has his "thousand holes to fight." Bush was speaking of individual contributions to society, but BHO might as well be speaking of individual contributions to getting him elected despite having enough holes in his resume to make it more holes than resume.
Robert Collyer once said that "a man's best friends are his ten fingers." Barack Obama's best friends are his many associates eager to give one finger to help him plug the many holes in his flimsy presidential resume while giving America another finger as well.Note: Articles listed under "Middle East studies in the News" provide information on current developments concerning Middle East studies on North American campuses.
