The Lamar Institute of Technology will soon be offering basic and advanced classes for those wanting to learn the Arabic language.
The classes are overseen by LIT Homeland Security director Jim Doane and will take place on April 14 and 15, 2009.
According to Doane the community has created a strong demand for the classes.
The classes are primarily for those wanting to learn more about the language and culture of the Arab world as well as those looking to get the proper background for work with the United States government including the Central Intelligence Agency.
Those interested in more information on the program classes can call (409) 880-8293.
