by Beth Croughan http://www.keci.com/Arabic-to-be-Introduced-in-Missoula-County-Schools/5234450 http://www.campus-watch.org/article/id/8342 Next fall, Missoula County high school students will have the chance to learn Arabic. The Missoula County Public School District will offer the language to all three high schools. It's a joint project with the University of Montana. The U.S. Department of Education provided a 763,000-dollar grant. School officials say Arabic has become one of the most important languages in today's world. Once students complete the courses, they will be able to qualify for advanced Arabic at the University level. Plans are also in the works to introduce the language into Missoula Middle Schools.
