Insidehighered.com reports today on the arrest of a San Diego State grad student for manufacturing methamphetamine in a campus lab, as well as the results of a Duke University experiment which gave free iPods to all incoming freshman. The latter sounds like a much better idea.

Over at Martinkramer.org Egyptian blogger The Big Pharaoh is providing the links while Kramer is on walkabout. Big Pharaoh is a funny guy with some serious ideas. Now if we could only persuade our favorite Saudi blogger The Religious Policeman to make a comeback!

And speaking of bloggers, our old pal Mark LeVine is on his way to Casablanca. Judging from his comments over at History News Network, he's there to look at the influence of the Zapatistas on Christian Heavy Metal, or something like that. Personally I prefer Rashid Taha. Oh, and Mark, I've been meaning to tell you. Jimi Hendrix served in the U.S. Army from October 31, 1961 to July 2, 1962. He was discharged after breaking his ankle on his 26^th parachute jump. This does not mean that he "actually served his country in wartime."

Finally, let us all note with relief the headline "WCC Inter-Religious Dialogue Day 3 Resolves Christian-Muslim Tensions."
